Will AMPSOS be available on other platforms later?
Yes, we do plan to bring AMPSOS to retail channels in the future. But Kickstarter is the only place to secure the best deal: the lowest pledge price, earliest delivery, exclusive campaign gifts, and backer-only after-sales benefits (free replacement within 18 months and lifetime repair support).

Can AMPSOS work with a 200W solar panel?
AMPSOS accepts USB-C PD input up to 100W. If your solar panel supports PD output through USB-C, it will work—though charging will be limited to 100W even with a higher-wattage panel.
If your panel only has DC output, you can use a reliable DC-to-USB-C PD converter to make it compatible. For best results, we recommend solar panels that natively support USB-C PD.
Our own 36W Solar Boost panel is optimized with SunPower cells (>24% efficiency), providing more stable and efficient charging compared to most generic panels.

How long does it take to charge AMPSOS from 0% to 100% with the Solar Boost panel?
Theoretical calculation: AMPSOS has a capacity of about 90–92 Wh. With a 36W solar panel in perfect conditions, it would take roughly 3 hours to fully charge.
Real-world testing: In strong sunlight, we observed about +21.6% per hour at best, meaning a full charge takes approximately 4.5–6 hours.
So while theory says ~3 hours, in real outdoor conditions, you can realistically expect 4.5–6 hours for a full charge.

How long can AMPSOS power a Starlink Mini?
AMPSOS has a 92.5Wh capacity. Since the Starlink Mini typically draws around 20–40W depending on usage, you can expect about 2 to 4.5 hours of runtime on a full charge. At lighter loads, it will be closer to the higher end of that range.
What makes AMPSOS more flexible is the Solar Boost panel. While powering your Starlink Mini, you can recharge AMPSOS from solar at the same time. In practice, this means that as long as your panel has sunlight, you can keep AMPSOS topped up and continue powering Starlink Mini almost indefinitely.

Are delivery costs included in the pledge price?
The pledge price on Kickstarter is just for the product itself—shipping will be added later in the Pledge Manager, depending on your location. We’ll keep the rates fair and transparent, and you’ll know the exact cost before fulfillment, so there are no surprises.
For a specific estimate, please refer to the Shipping section of the campaign page, where we’ve listed our predicted shipping rates by region.

Last updated: September 22, 2025 18:25
How long will the battery last (cycle life)?
Estimated cycle life: roughly 1,000–1,200 full charge cycles for a 20,000-class pack. In everyday usage (mostly partial top-ups) that typically corresponds to about 4–5 years. This is an estimate; actual lifetime varies with usage.
Last updated: September 22, 2025 18:25
What factors affect battery lifetime?
Real-world lifetime depends on charge/discharge habits, storage conditions, and temperature — so individual results will vary.
Last updated: September 22, 2025 18:25
Any tips to extend battery life?
Care tips:
Charge the pack at least once every ~3 months if it’s unused for a while.
Store and use in moderate temperatures (rough guideline: 0–25°C / 32–77°F).
Avoid leaving the battery fully discharged (0%) for long periods — partial top-ups are healthier for the cells.
Last updated: September 29, 2025 13:37
What should I do when the pack reaches end-of-life?
For safety and environmental reasons, return the pack to a qualified recycling/collection facility per local regulations — do not disassemble or throw the battery in the trash.
Last updated: September 22, 2025 18:25
Are your components compliant with environmental standards?
Yes — our product materials meet environmental requirements and we hold RoHS documentation for the components used.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
