Hello AMPSOS Family,

Now that the 170W Power Bank campaign is fully delivered, we are closing our first Kickstarter project to focus on our next chapter: AMPSOS NOMAD.

Our team finalized the development roadmap during a kickoff meeting on June 11, and we'd like to share our current progress with you.

Final Design Preview: The Shoulder Strap

While finalizing NOMAD's internal electronics and firmware ahead of the July 20 sample production, we also implemented a suggestion from one of our backers: adding a shoulder strap option.

We have tested two variations — a Classic Black Strap and a Patterned Strap.

Below is a preview of how NOMAD looks in everyday use.

We've also developed a new 120W foldable solar panel for NOMAD, featuring higher output, a more refined design, and support for expandable solar charging to better match different use cases and power needs.

NOMAD can comfortably power everyday appliances, including a standard floor fan during hot weather, outdoor activities, or temporary power outages.

NOMAD features a bright built-in LED light with multiple lighting modes, ranging from powerful illumination to softer ambient lighting, plus a dedicated Emergency Strobe Mode for unexpected roadside events or emergency situations.

🚗 Car Recharging

NOMAD can also be recharged directly from a vehicle battery using an optional car charging cable.

🔋 Fulfillment Nearing Completion — Shipping, Support & Final Campaign Updates

Dear Backers,

First of all, thank you again for supporting and trusting our first AMPSOS 170W Power Bank project.

This project achieved a small but very meaningful success for us. However, this is only the beginning.

For AMPSOS, making a product is not only about functionality or specifications. We also want our products to feel practical, personal, enjoyable to use, and able to reflect the individuality and lifestyle of the people carrying them.

Over the past months, we spent a very long time handling:

• production adjustments
• certifications
• battery shipping restrictions
• customs situations
• international logistics
• after-sales support
• technical troubleshooting

The project timeline ultimately became around 4 months longer than originally planned.

Thank you sincerely for your patience throughout this process.

📦 Final Fulfillment Status

At this point, most fulfillment has already been completed.

For a long time, we kept the project open because there were still around 10 backers who had not completed the final BackerKit survey or shipping payment.

Recently, after discussing internally, we decided to directly cover the remaining shipping costs ourselves and proceed with shipment anyway, so that we could finally complete this first campaign properly.

Those remaining shipments have now been arranged and should gradually arrive.

🛠️ Support & Remaining Issues

Because this campaign lasted much longer than expected and involved a large number of international support situations, there may still be some remaining follow-up cases.

• unresolved logistics situations

🔋 About Product Issues / Battery Protection Situations

A small number of users may experience battery protection lock situations after long transportation or storage.

If your product appears unresponsive, please:

• send me a short video showing the issue

• schedule an online troubleshooting session with our technical engineer

After inspection, if we confirm the issue is related to hardware defects rather than protection lock, we will arrange an appropriate solution, including replacement or refund support if necessary.

🔧 Important Support Notice — Power Bank Protection Lock & Reactivation Guide

Dear Backers,

A small number of users may experience a situation where the AMPSOS Power Bank appears unresponsive after extended storage or transportation.

In most cases, the issue is related to the internal protection system rather than hardware damage.

The device may have entered battery protection mode (deep-discharge protection), which is a normal safety mechanism used in high-power lithium battery products.

🔋 If Your Power Bank Does Not Respond

Please try the following steps carefully.

1. Use a Higher-Power USB-C PD Charger

A laptop charger or MacBook USB-C charger is recommended.

2. Connect to the Main USB-C Input Port

Please use the primary USB-C charging/input port on the power bank.

3. Leave the Device Connected for 30–60 Minutes

Even if the screen does not immediately light up, please keep the charger connected continuously.

4. Try Another USB-C Cable

A fully functional USB-C cable is important during the reactivation process.

🛡️ Why This Happens

To protect the battery cells, the internal Battery Management System (BMS) may automatically enter protection mode when battery voltage becomes too low after storage or transportation.

Once stable USB-C PD input power is detected, the protection system can usually reactivate automatically and normal charging will resume.

Please contact me directly so I can help determine whether the issue is related to protection lock or a possible hardware issue.

Hi everyone,

Here’s an update on Nomad, including a community-driven design improvement and a more complete overview of the unit’s ports and capabilities.

(In this update, we’ll first share the current progress of the Nomad project, and in the next update (coming tomorrow), we’ll provide a detailed update on the fulfillment status of our current campaign.)

Community Feedback → Strap Carrying Option ✅

In our backer survey, one backer shared a very practical request:
For some users (especially women or older users), carrying Nomad by hand for long periods isn’t always convenient — even if the unit itself isn’t heavy.

So we decided to support hands-free carrying.

✅ A hand-carry strap will be included with every Nomad

➕ A shoulder strap will be offered as an optional add-on accessory

This way, people who want it can get it, while others don’t pay extra for something they won’t use.

Strap Customization & Personal Style 🎒✨

We also want Nomad to feel a bit more “yours,” not just a tool.

If you add the shoulder strap, you can personalize it however you like, for example:

Add a fun badge / patch

Clip on a keychain

Hang a small plush / pom-pom

Attach a bracelet charm / bead string

Add a name tag or small ID label

Small details, but it makes the setup feel personal and easy to recognize.

Standard Mounting Holes (Not Only for Straps)

To support the strap option, we added three standard mounting holes to the enclosure.

These holes follow common standard screw specifications, so they’re not limited to straps only.

They can also work with many accessories such as:

Camera / tripod mounts

DJI / creator handles

Brackets and extension arms

So beyond carrying, it also opens up use cases like outdoor filming, live streaming, and custom rigs.

📷 Camera + monitor setup (50–80W)
→ Roughly 2–3 hours of continuous use

📱 Phones / small devices
→ Multiple recharges without issue

Current Status

The updated design (with the new mounting holes) is now in tooling

After tooling, we will build 10 sample units

These samples will be shipped to the agreed 10 backers for testing

We’ll share more once samples are ready and testing starts.

Below is an early sample image of the product. Please note that this is a first-round prototype, and we’re still actively optimizing both design and functionality. Your feedback is always welcome and will directly help guide further improvements 💡

We expect to ship 10 Nomad samples to selected backers around January 25, 2026.

For the initial release, we’re currently considering two core color options — one more grounded and bold, and one lighter and more energetic — to suit different styles and seasons better 🎨
