👉 🔥 AMPSOS Update — Nomad Project Progress

Hi everyone,
Here’s an update on Nomad, including a community-driven design improvement and a more complete overview of the unit’s ports and capabilities.
(In this update, we’ll first share the current progress of the Nomad project, and in the next update (coming tomorrow), we’ll provide a detailed update on the fulfillment status of our current campaign.)
Community Feedback → Strap Carrying Option ✅
In our backer survey, one backer shared a very practical request:
For some users (especially women or older users), carrying Nomad by hand for long periods isn’t always convenient — even if the unit itself isn’t heavy.
So we decided to support hands-free carrying.
✅ A hand-carry strap will be included with every Nomad
➕ A shoulder strap will be offered as an optional add-on accessory
This way, people who want it can get it, while others don’t pay extra for something they won’t use.
Strap Customization & Personal Style 🎒✨
We also want Nomad to feel a bit more “yours,” not just a tool.
If you add the shoulder strap, you can personalize it however you like, for example:
Add a fun badge / patch
Clip on a keychain
Hang a small plush / pom-pom
Attach a bracelet charm / bead string
Add a name tag or small ID label
Small details, but it makes the setup feel personal and easy to recognize.
Standard Mounting Holes (Not Only for Straps)
To support the strap option, we added three standard mounting holes to the enclosure.
These holes follow common standard screw specifications, so they’re not limited to straps only.
They can also work with many accessories such as:
Camera / tripod mounts
DJI / creator handles
Brackets and extension arms
So beyond carrying, it also opens up use cases like outdoor filming, live streaming, and custom rigs.

Realistic Examples (What It Can Power)
We’ll keep this realistic and not exaggerated:
☕ Small travel coffee maker (~300W)
→ Enough to complete one full brew cycle
💻 Laptop (60–90W)
→ Around 2–3 full charges depending on your laptop and usage
📷 Camera + monitor setup (50–80W)
→ Roughly 2–3 hours of continuous use
📱 Phones / small devices
→ Multiple recharges without issue
Current Status
The updated design (with the new mounting holes) is now in tooling
After tooling, we will build 10 sample units
These samples will be shipped to the agreed 10 backers for testing
We’ll share more once samples are ready and testing starts.

Shipping Status Update 📦
We’re happy to share that most orders are now either shipped or in the process of being arranged. All backers who have completed their surveys and final payments have entered the fulfillment process.
• Australia & New Zealand orders are shipped via direct international delivery ✈️
• Europe & the United States orders are fulfilled through local EU and U.S. warehouses for final delivery 🚚

What’s Next: Nomad 🚀
Our next Kickstarter project, Nomad, featuring an AC outlet capable of powering everyday small devices and ideally suited for 3–5 outdoor activities, officially kicked off internally on December 31 — something many of you already know 👀
Below is an early sample image of the product. Please note that this is a first-round prototype, and we’re still actively optimizing both design and functionality. Your feedback is always welcome and will directly help guide further improvements 💡
We expect to ship 10 Nomad samples to selected backers around January 25, 2026.
For the initial release, we’re currently considering two core color options — one more grounded and bold, and one lighter and more energetic — to suit different styles and seasons better 🎨
As a promise to our original backers, when Nomad launches, you’ll receive access to our lowest internal backer pricing, even lower than early-bird tiers 🔒

A Special Moment to Share ❄️🌍
One of our backers on Kickstarter from France recently took our product and solar panel to Antarctica as part of a scientific expedition. Despite the extreme cold conditions, everything performed reliably and exceeded expectations 💪

Update: Shipping Progress (AMPSOS and All Add-ons)

Dear Backers,
Thank you for your continued patience. We sincerely apologize that delivery is taking longer than expected. Below is a consolidated update on the current status of production, fulfillment, and shipping.
Production & Fulfillment Status
AMPSOS unit itself
For orders in the United States that include only the AMPSOS unit itself (without any add-ons), fulfillment has largely been completed, meaning these orders have already entered or completed the delivery process.
Solar panels
All solar panels were completed about 10 days ago (roughly 2 weeks ago) and have already entered the second shipping batch, which is currently in transit.
Charging adapters
Charging adapters were completed this week, which affected the timing of some second-batch shipments that include these components.
Shipping Status by Region:
United States
Orders from the first batch that were ready have largely completed fulfillment.
Second batch shipments are now moving and being dispatched progressively.
Europe
Tracking numbers for the first European batch have been generated
This shipment was subject to an export customs inspection
Current status: in transit, with ongoing follow-up on flights and clearance
UK, Australia, New Zealand, India, & other regions
We are making every effort to ship these orders within this week
Shipping to multiple countries requires separate customs and logistics handling, which adds complexity to execution

They are shared for your review. Checking them is entirely optional and mainly reflects the international leg of transportation.

About Tracking Updates
Receiving a local tracking number usually means the package has already entered the final stages of delivery.

Without a study completed, we are unable to confirm shipping details and therefore cannot dispatch the order.

📦 Shipping & Survey Update for Installment Plan Backers💚⚡

Dear AMPSOS Family, 💚⚡
We noticed that some of our backers who selected the Kickstarter Installment Payment Plan have not yet received the BackerKit survey. We want to clarify how the system works and provide solutions to help you receive your rewards as soon as possible.
🔍 Why you haven’t received the survey
Kickstarter and BackerKit are fully integrated.
Kickstarter requires that the entire pledge amount must be fully charged and confirmed before:
✔ BackerKit survey can be sent
✔ Shipping fee can be collected
✔ Address can be confirmed
✔ Shipping can be scheduled
Until the final installment is successfully charged, the survey remains locked.
This is Kickstarter’s system rule and cannot be manually overridden — thank you for your understanding. 🙏
🔄 Most installment payments are nearly complete
For most installment-plan backers, two installments have already been successfully charged, and only the final installment remains pending.
If you would like to unlock your survey earlier and receive your shipment sooner, you may contact Kickstarter Support and request the following:
“Convert my installment payment into a one-time full payment for the remaining balance.”
Kickstarter will only charge the remaining unpaid amount —
it will not double-charge or repeat the installments you’ve already paid. ✔
Once the remaining balance is completed, the survey will be automatically released, and your shipment will move forward to the next batch. 🚀
Kickstarter may require 3–5 business days to process the payment method change.

We’d like to share a quick update on fulfillment progress.
Over the past few days, we have locked a first group of backers whose surveys are fully completed and ready to ship, and we have already created their shipping labels and tracking numbers.
📌 Where to find your tracking number
If you are in this first batch, your tracking number has been sent to you:
Via Kickstarter Messages, and
Via BackerKit Messages
Please check both inboxes for a message containing a long 22-digit tracking number.
These packages are scheduled to ship right after Thanksgiving, so tracking may start updating shortly thereafter. 🚚✨
If you don’t see a tracking number yet, it simply means your order is scheduled for an upcoming batch.
👉 No worries — shipments will continue in close succession, without long gaps between batches.
💰 Shipping Credit Reminder
As promised during the campaign, we have applied a $3 shipping credit per AMPSOS unit for eligible backers:
1 × AMPSOS → $3 off shipping
2 × AMPSOS → $6 off shipping, etc.
Because a few pledges were later cancelled, the final campaign total is slightly below the last unlocked milestone. However, in order to treat everyone fairly, we are still honoring this shipping credit for all qualifying backers.
Note: This credit applies to AMPSOS units pledged during the Kickstarter campaign.
Add-ons purchased later in BackerKit are not discounted by this $3 credit.
